The CODA Diamond NX is the company’s reply to the increasing need for intermediate players to have sufficient good bows that can help their progress to become better violinists. CODA relies on their extensive expertise in making professional bows to produce just the right mix of balance and feel that is needed by an advancing student. The Diamond NX is categorized by CODA as the level before the SX when it comes to agility. It is perfect for the student who is focusing on getting the best sound of the violin with beginning attempts to fancy techniques like sautille or ricochet.

The CODA Diamond NX is made of blended Kevlar and Xebony. Xebony is the synthetic material used in place for the banned ebony. It is a material that is also very durable and smooth. The bow brings a very nice combination of brightness and clarity in the tones. It is also a significant improvement from wooden bows of the same price range.

Codabow Diamond NX Great feel, quality and looks

Posted by Glen on 1st Oct 2020

In the couple of weeks since getting this bow, I have already noticed improvement in my tone and a feeling of greater assurance (upgrading from Brazilwood bow). Every part of the Codabow bow feels like quality, and the brown and black carbon weave looks lovely. Much better than a similarly priced wooden bow, and it has the added benefit of ecological peace of mind, not using endangered Pernambucco or Ebony timbers.

    Good but not perfect

This bow emphasizes the fundamental of the pitch and has a sweet tone. It has high stability contact with strings, but it's a bit hard to control and direct the bow while playing near the frog. Overall, it's a good performance level bow. It's ideal for developing musicians.
