Petko Petkov is a luthier with over 25 years of experience from Bulgaria. Petko worked an apprenticeship under the master Vladko Naidenov, a top Bulgarian violin maker.In his workshop in Rose Valley, Bulgaria, he repairs and restores instruments as well as creating new ones. The instruments are stuiable for advanced students and professional musicians alike.
In his creations, Petkov selects fine Bulgarian woods such as Balkan Maple and Spruce. He has a collection of tonewoods that ensures excellent materials for every instrument, and combines traditional Italian methods with high-quality Bulgarian materials. Petkov has also participated in many competitions, such as the Violin Making Competition in America, and Germany's International Violin Making Competition.
This violin is inspired by Antonio Stradivari's "Cremonese" Violin from 1715. It contains a Balkan Spruce top with a one-piece Maple back, and spirit varnish.
