    Excellent strings

    I am very happy with these strings on my violin; they are warm and sweet sounding. They definitely tamed down my overly bright violin without compromising from the projection, my violin is still projecting very well, but without the harshness... they also added a rich complexity which I like. Definitely great strings for those specific violins that need it!

    If you like Thomastik Dominants, you'll like Pirastro Violinos. Violinos are a slightly lower tension string set than Doms and if you have a violin that doesn't like Doms, Violinos will work for you. I find them to be responsive, clean and of a medium voice, not too sharp and not too mellow. Economical and ling lasting, they are exceptional value, showing that string technologies are advancing with the times, producing strings that could only be dreamed about 20 years ago.
