A Viola bow of German origin c.1930, faintly stamped 'Ernst Heinrich Roth' on the near side facet of the handle and 'Germany' on the lower facet.
The bow comprises an octagonal Pernambuco stick with silver faceplate and a silver mounted ebony frog which is decorated with a silver treble clef motif; the adjuster of three bands of silver, seperated by slim black bands; it weighs 68gm, and is in excellent condition.
